Plot and Setting
Previously On...
In the year 2009, with the landing of Atlantis near the coast of San Francisco, the knowledge of the Stargate Program and the life beyond Earth becomes public knowledge. A new expedition is launched nevertheless, as it was planned, as knowledge the Ancients' presence in the Marius Galaxy is discovered from the rouge Asgard, which could also be the possible location of the Furlings. What discoveries will be had and what enemies shall be faced?
The Zeta Expedition
With the knowledge of yet another 8th chevron address to the Marius, the IOA has scheduled another expedition to explore the universe and possibly gain new technology to aid Earth. {2nd secret word is potato}
Lead by Colonel Lilla Deyman, Lt. Colonel Samarra Blackwell, and Lt. Colonel Will O'Malley, the new group of Earthlings set out to find more mischief in the universe. Meanwhile, the Marius has been home to someone from Earth, a young astrophysicist whom has been missing for the last two years. Just what is she doing and how did she get here.
Lots of fun is in store!!
The Setting
The 8th Chevron address to the Marius Galaxy was assumed to bring the expedition to an Ancient Outpost, much like Atlantis or the one found in the Delian Galaxy. However, when they arrived, the immediately realized that they had not just arrived at an Ancient Outpost at all. It was not an outpost as much as it was a massive city complex. And above all else, it was not Ancient. It was Furling.
The Furling City Complex
There is clear influence from the other members in the Alliances (The Ancients, the Asgard, and The Nox) in the technology, architecture, and overall layout of the complex. From the Ancients, much of the city's design and layout, as well as the use of genetic interface within much of the technology. Much of the technology uses the Asgard interface and the main power source comes from what seems highly influenced by the Asgard core, though with varying differences. The integration of the city into its natural surroundings is obvious evidence of the Nox.
Beyond these few inclusions, the overall entirety of the city is a complete mystery to most members of the Stargate Program. All they know thus far is that it is indeed Furling and that it must have been built during the peak of the Alliance, quite possibly as the meeting place for all Four Races. It is nestled within a great rainforest that runs along the shoreline of a great ocean. Part of the city extends underwater for research, and there are docks that expand out over the water as well.
Information about the SGC's contact with the Furlings thusfar can be found here.
The Mission
The Zeta Expedition was initially established to explore and gain information and technology to protect Earth and the Milky Way Galaxy. However, it quickly is turning into a search for one of the most mysterious races in the universe: the Furlings.
One of four races in a great Alliance, which included the Anicents, the Asgard, and the Nox, the Furlings are the only race that has yet to be contacted by Humans, whom the Asgard though could become the Fifth Race. As history has proven, humans are very curious little creatures, and it quickly became a priority to find the Furlings.
Of course, all sorts of obstacles and challenges can stand in the way of such a quest. After all, there may have been a reason for the Furlings to just...disappear....
Or did they?
